Hendrik Kolenberg's paintings and drawings are a recording of his restlessness, capturing the images of streets he has walked for decades. They are revelatory, rendering three-dimensional and intriguing a previously flat and unnoticed background to urban life. Concurrent to a distinguished curatorial career in The Netherlands and Australia, Kolenberg has been drawing and painting for over 50 years, exhibiting his work in solo and group exhibitions for the last 20 years.
