THROUGH LINE is a term coined by Stanislavski that describes or conceptualizes the journey of a character. I have been exploring the materiality and the potential character of paint and its relationship to the narrative of “Painting”.

In abstract expressionism, the idea of painting shifts from a noun to a verb; to the act of painting. For these works the ‘act of painting’ has been objectified and separated into verbs: to fold, to weave, to hang, to drip, to hold, to layer, to decorate, to paint.
